Should we use hair oil or not ??

This is very controversial question all over the social media that we should apply hair oil on our hair or not..
What I think is yes we should apply hair oil as it give the moisture and strength to the hair and also heal the hair specially the coconut oil which is best oil by far for the hair cause it do not have harmful effect , and we should try to buy the hair oil which are pulverized by cold press method to maintain the nutrients present in it…
This was the one and positive side of social but there is always the second side let’s see what they say…
People who believe that we should apply hair oil generally used the term oily and greasy hair problems and also the clogging in pore ,which leads to bad effect on hair…
I think this only occur when we use the hair oil without any instruction and plan
How to apply hair oil?
First of all try not to apply oil on scalp cause our body release the oil called sabum from sebaceous gland so no need to apply oil there and wash the oil after 3-6 hour of apply after applied and you are good to go…
What are your opinion hair oils???

Hair oiling is mostly suitable and apt for people with dry/frizzy/damaged hair, as in those cases it will nourish the scalp and will boost circulation that can aid in hair growth. However, the process of oiling should be limited by people who have oily scalp (with dandruff issues), acne or who are prone to fungal infections in the scalp or if oiling is increasing hair fall (as sometimes this can happen as well). Oiling can be done 1-2 times a week mostly and it is better to warm the oil slightly before using it. Also, one should avoid leaving it overnight if acne-prone, and should be washed with shampoo after an hour of application in the day-time. Coconut oil mostly helps in deep conditioning, almond oil helps in providing shine and strength to the hair, and argan oil assists in frizz control. Hot oil massages help most people, so that can be done once a week. Besides, in the diet we should include adequate protein, iron, omega-3s, zinc inclusive of vitamin D and B12 for good hair health. These days, pollution damages hair drastically, so it’s better to cover them outdoors (specifically on the roads if it’s possible). In case there’s still heavy hair fall, it’s good to go for some blood tests of iron (ferritin), TSH hormone, vitamin D, B12, and zinc, checking their levels in the body.

Using hair oil can be helpful for many people, as it nourishes the scalp, reduces dryness, adds shine, and helps prevent breakage. However, it depends on your hair type—those with oily scalps or fine hair should use it sparingly. In my opinion, hair oil is beneficial when used in moderation and with the right oil for your hair type.

Many people around me do this thing - they apply a kind of humectant like aloe vera or glycerine to their hair and then coat it with oil to lock in moisture.
And as you said about scalp oiling, it should be avoided especially for people with sensitive or other scalp problems.

Hair oiling isn’t a one size fits all practice it depends on your hair type, scalp condition, and how you apply it. While oils like coconut, argan, and almond can deeply nourish and protect hair, misuse or overuse can cause greasiness, buildup, or clogged pores.

Applying oil to hair is really beneficial to moisturize it, to promote hair growth, to prevent dandruff and to soften and strengthen the hair. But emphasis should be given on the routine. It is better to apply oil to the hair 2-3 times a week, followed by a good massage and leaving it on for few hours and then washing the hair with a shampoo and conditioner. Applying oil everyday would cause scalp issues, buildup and greasiness.

Applying hair oil is good for the scalp. It would be better if we choose the type of hair oils based on the hair texture and body temperature. May be we can apply it over night or 1-2 hours before hair wash. Leaving oil in hair throughout the day may cause damage to the hair.
