It is better to stay in our country than abroad because its a time consuming it is difficult to survive in abroad

In our country things are developing and when things are developing you get better chance to learn from the scratch. So I prefer our country to do my ph.d

Abroad …better respect and opportunities.

I would prefer doing a Ph.D. in India because I can stay close to my family, focus on research topics relevant to local needs, and build my academic career here without the challenges of living abroad.

Honestly, both have their own advantage and disadvantage, but I do prefer going abroad. The exposure, advanced healthcare systems, and better career opportunities really attract me. But at the same time, I’m open to India too if there’s good scope for growth and learning. It all depends on where I find the right opportunities that match my goals.

If I want to do phd then I would prefer India because India has started developing and the cost of living in abroad and do phd is very much

I would prefer abroad for phd because the funding and infrastructure abroad is far better than in India. Even the phd stipened is so much better abroad especially in US, UK, Australia etc. In India you have to clear few of the very difficult competetive exams like CSIR, GATE etc to start with your phd, so everything depends on your memorization ability rather than your research ideas, creativity, or passion for discovery.

Abroad, their study patterns are tailored in such a way that they focus more on practical learning. Sorry to say, but in India it is mostly theoretical.

I’d prefer a Ph.D. in India for its evolving research environment, better alignment with regional healthcare needs, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while staying connected to my roots.

INDIA would be the option I would always stay with. As being developing nation there are many growing opportunities. The mentor-mentee relationship here is much stronger and more personalized compared to abroad. Moreover, pursuing a Ph.D. in India keeps you deeply connected with your community and the social needs of your country.

I prefer to do in india because we know how much knowlege we had so we can study anywhere and another thing why to leave our india this is pur country. We can study as much as we need by staying here.. Because leaving our country feels like leaving our mother.

Both have pros and cons but I think abroad you will get more opportunities as India it is still in progress. But if you have home sickness or something like that you can do it in India also

A Ph.D completed in a good institute with good guidance holds value anywhere in the world. But I would consider abroad to be more preferable, as India is yet to prioritize research as much as it should.

Doing a Ph.D in India or abroad, ia dependent on the topic and your area of interest.

According to me doing Ph.D in abroad is only better if you have received any scholarship. Without any scholarship doing anything in abroad is very tedious task.

I would prefer abroad in terms of research quality, international exposure and career mobilities country with strong research funding and open academic culture like Germany,US,Netherlands. The support system, infrastructure, and potential for impactful research are often stronger.
There are some pros too like Better access to advance labs, global exposure, better funding, career opportunities,.

Both have their advantages as well as disadvantages!
But looking past that for research in traditional medicine , the govt is really opening its eyes towards it so I would like to stay in India and do my research

If we had all required facilities then why go to abroad

I would prefer doing Ph.D in India as our system is developing and is widely open for research opportunities, particularly in the healthcare field. Also it would help us to know the healthcare needs of our country and in a way develop our research which would eventually contribute in the betterment of the public health. It is also far more expensive to stay abroad to do a Ph.D, unless you are under a good sponsorship.

India is growing in every field but still it needed growth in Research sector.
Here I am doing Master’s and willing to do PhD as well.
But few reasons are there
1 . Low funding
2. Lack of equipment
3. Not proper guidance
4. Even after PhD not getting good work.
