I agree. People often misconceive it and rely on it as the main source of nutrients, which can be problematic. It’s crucial to clarify the difference.

Protein powder is a helpful supplement, but it’s not a magic solution. A balanced diet and regular exercise are still necessary for good health. Use protein powder to support your fitness goals, not replace healthy habits.

So by taking the food which has protein then we do not need to use these protein milkshakes. Nice information.

Isnt natural source of protien is better than the powder, the artificial one???

I think that taking protein powder is primarily beneficial for individuals who have difficulty meeting their protein needs through natural sources due to their busy schedules or high protein requirements. This includes sports enthusiasts and athletes who have intense training schedules and strict dietary plans, leaving them little time to prepare and consume protein-rich foods naturally. For these individuals, I believe protein powder serves as both a supplement and a shortcut to help them meet their protein needs efficiently.

  • Protein powders can be a convenient supplement for athletes and individuals with high protein needs, helping them meet their daily protein requirements.
  • They can be particularly useful for those who have limited time for meal preparation or have specific dietary restrictions.
  • However, it’s essential to remember that protein powders should not replace whole foods entirely, rather enhance a balanced nutritional plan.
  • It’s crucial to choose high-quality protein powders that align with individual nutritional needs and preferences.

When athletes, people from the sports background (national and international level sports person), and celebrities take protein powder, they do it under the guidance of an experienced healthcare professional, trainer, and nutritionist. This is the right way to adopt when one is using protein powder. These days as we see many (gym-going individuals mostly) are using it without the guidance and without any awareness of their internal body landscape. Whey protein powder information (with those big containers and fancy looks) is there everywhere in instagram under the post of a fitness influencer. These protein powders can be beneficial for a certain time-period, but if it’s use is not regulated and someone is using it continuously for a longer period, it can cause serious health concerns. Most of the protein powders are not FDA approved, some of them can contain lead like toxic elements and can increase the burden on kidney gradually. Besides, regular consumption can increase certain protein levels drastically inside the body like creatinine and that can be fatal leading to quick kidney failure. So, much caution needs to be taken before taking it and should be taken always with the advice of a physician. The regular diet with lentils, legumes, chickpeas, and non-veg foods in moderate amounts can very easily meet the regular protein requirements of the body.
