International borders are melting. And in this era, we should think of ourselves more as global citizens. So yes going and settling abroad is a good idea, but everything comes with a cost.

For Indian medicos, the US, the UK, Australia- NZL, middle East are good avenues. Canada not much helpful because too less of opportunities. Thus, compare USMLE, PLAB, AMC etc. For UAE, DHA exam and license is required (exempt from exam if western degree) , etc

There are many points to be considered before getting into this
First of first
Can you live in other country for given time period
If not then it’s not even a point of discussion

Next I saw many of doctors shifting to abroad for just earning a bunch of money and then they will return and start their own clinic
So basically they went to just earn money to start clinic

Migrating abroad as an IMG offers better training, exposure, and career opportunities.
But it also means tough exams, cultural adjustment, and being far from home support. The growth can be incredible, but the journey is emotionally and financially demanding.

Yes but few students can’t afford it because of financial problem

Going abroad should not be because you couldn’t crack an exam here . The level of difficulty is almost same everywhere. Migrating abroad will invite newer problems like food issues, adapting to its system n environment and going far away from family . Money shouldn’t be traded with family . If you are capable of earning stable income then I don’t think it’s useful to migrate .

Pros:
Most countries such as US, Canada offering place for medicine is developed country, which is more developed than India.
They have well developed machines for surgery.
Cleanliness and waste management.
Good salary.

Cons:
Expenditure>Salary.
Most of us will definitely miss our country for so many aspects, such as food. First time we will be excited, but further wards, it will be bored, missing family, etc.

Expenditure is not more than salary, but when one pays $5 for 2 samosas (without Chhole), it definitely hurts.

I have thought about practicing medicine abroad because it offers a chance to experience different healthcare systems, learn new approaches, and grow both professionally and personally. It can also expose me to diverse patient populations and challenges that deepen my skills. But at the same time, I feel a strong connection to my home community and want to contribute where I’m most needed. So it’s a balance between seeking growth and staying rooted.
