Let’s discuss career or further education options abroad after completing MBBS in India.

Personally, I would like to pursue further education abroad to understand why and how other countries are so successful in the medical field. I want to learn what their institutions do on a yearly basis that sets them apart from us.

  1. Going abroad for post graduate clinical training: Cracking exams like USMLE, PLAB or AMC.
    Some people go for observation fellowship without the need of cracking the above exams and then come back. Others go into research.
  2. Going for MPH or MBA, etc
  3. If you have done PG here, and not interested in cracking an overseas exam: Think of middle East countries. They pay good perks.
  4. I’ve seen Indian doctors practicing or teaching in African countries and West Indies too.
    These are opportunities in general. Please add if I am missing something.
