The pressure to get into medschools and lacking the option of securing limited government medical college seats often force candidates to take hefty student loans to apply for these private medical institutions.
Seeing the current job market even for medical professionals, paying such exorbitants fees only to earn the most basic pay often leaves many medical graduates in a state of extreme frustration and the pressure to pay back the loan.

It depends on individual circumstances, but often they are not fully justified, especially in India and many other countries where private medical colleges charge crores of rupees. While some private institutions offer excellent training and facilities, many do not match the quality of top government colleges, and the high fees do not always guarantee good faculty, strong clinical exposure, or better opportunities.
Challenges are the High tuition fees ,living expenses and the limited Government seats

These exorbitant fees are definitely not worth it. They just are a burden on the families paying for it as they want to fulfil a unfulfilled dream.

Due to high fees many talented students who are middle class give up on their dreams due to the fear of burden of loan that they will be putting their family into. They let go of the dream due to this.

The recent raid on the PCI chief reveals how deep-rooted corruption exists even in our education system.

Its a shame to see where talented students are struggling to pay the fees and many rich kids are getting their degrees and admission in colleges due to money.

I don’t believe in paying exorbitant fees because that doesn’t guarantee quality of medical education.

Totally agree with your statement @Khandekar99 , Medical colleges kept on increasing their fees, this is putting a lot of burden over families. What I think is students should get merit based opportunities . This would create a fair environment for everyone.

Exorbitant fees are definitely not worth, besides that fees, we have to pay extra fees for buying dental instruments, materials etc is another saddest part of this system.

Exorbitant fee is worth if they provide consistent knowledge and experiences with a certified medical college tag or label

The fees is surprisingly worthy of some private colleges, but they are limited. The extremeness of the college fees, are putting strain on the parents but also students, because it exploits their worth, their passion and the need to learn. It takes advantage of the student’s helplessness to gain some profit

The exorbitant fees in private medical colleges is a great setback for aspiring doctors and makes it difficult for many families to afford quality medical education for their child.

Growing up in a family with limited financial resources, I understood that earning a medical degree from a private institution was merely a far-off aspiration. The costs were prohibitively high, making it feel like an impossible objective for us. Even alternative medical fields such as pharmacy and paramedical courses were beyond our financial capabilities, with similarly intimidating fees.

As I looked into the employment opportunities, I came to realize that even if I succeeded in landing a job in those areas, the pay would be quite modest, at best. It was harsh reality that led me to doubt whether all the financial hardships would truly be worthwhile.

The private medical college fee has never been in the range where it felt it’s “affordable”. But when there’s no other option but your dreams, your parents make it happen taking the burden on their shoulders. Financing medical career in private colleges these days is one of the most stressful situation for any family. But the outcome of getting the degree and building a career out of it will make everything worth it.

It verily depends upon the college you choose. And we all know that the fees asked by these private institutions would nowhere near affordable and for most students, the option would be an educational loan. Hence, consider enquiring about the facilities, resources, teaching quality, placement offers prior to taking admissions in such private colleges, especially if you are financing your education through a loan debt.
