With the growing prices of private seats in India, many middle class medical aspirants prefer to pursue their studies abroad, where costs are reported to be 20-30% lesser. However, this requires them to write the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination), and with growing geo-political tensions, no time seems like the right time to pursue medicine outside the country. The situation is almost dystopian, and with every year the number of hopeful aspirants struggling to qualify for practice in India is only growing.
