Because of the large number of candidates but less Number of government seats, yes it is hard for some of the people to get admission into private colleges - that can really make medical education, an elitist education.

Maybe by increasing the number of seats, and setting the standard criteria of fees in all the private medical colleges, treating all people equally can be the potential solution of this thing.

In 2025, roughly 23 lakh students gave NEET and they competed for about 1.2 lakh seats- from that only about 56000 seats are govt seats. This intense rat race is more difficult for students from low income families.

To change this, the government should increase the number of govt seats and also provide student loans at lower interest rates so the students can actually repay without much strain. The future of healthcare in the country depends on fair and inclusive opportunities so the government should make better policies for the same.

Absolutely valid concern. Solutions? More scholarships, low-interest or no-interest student loans, income-based repayment plans, and government-backed funding for healthcare students. Education should empower, not financially burden.
