Do you believe that the onus of work-life balance is solely on women?

Recently, we came across several celebrities advocating for a fixed 8-hour workday to achieve a better work-life balance and improve mental health. This led to a series of discussions on social media regarding the same.

In most households, women shoulder the primary responsibility of childcare while managing their professional duties and household chores. On many days, these multiple roles can become overwhelming, leading to stress and mental health issues.

The authorities and organizations should consider this and provide greater flexibility for working women, especially new moms, whose children require additional care and attention. Neglecting a child’s emotional and developmental needs at an early age may lead to issues. If the kids are not treated properly at a young age, it can cause emotional imbalance in kids, speech delay, and hyperactivity. This, in turn, disrupts the family’s harmony.
