Ashwagandha: Just Because It’s Natural Doesn’t Mean It’s for Everyone

We’ve all heard the buzz—Ashwagandha for stress, better sleep, more energy. Sounds amazing, right? I thought so too. It’s everywhere now—from capsules to smoothies.

But here’s the thing no one talks about enough: is it really safe for everyone?

Recently, I came across a case where someone experienced withdrawal-like symptoms after stopping high-dose Ashwagandha. And that got me thinking—how many of us are self-medicating with herbs just because they’re “natural”?

Ayurveda has always emphasized individuality. What works for one may not suit another.
Ashwagandha might not be ideal for:
:small_orange_diamond: People with excess body heat (pitta prakriti)
:small_orange_diamond: Those with thyroid issues
:small_orange_diamond: Pregnant or breastfeeding women
:small_orange_diamond: Anyone on psychiatric meds—unless they’re under supervision

So if you’re using it, maybe start slow. Listen to your body. Ask questions.
Because even natural things deserve cautious respect.

Have you ever tried Ashwagandha? How did it go for you? Let’s talk beyond the hype. :seedling:
