Why Finding an Internship Feels Like a Dead End without a Network?

Why is it so difficult to find internships or trainee positions especially for those who don’t have any internal connections? We were fortunate to receive an opportunity through MedBound Hub, and we’re truly thankful for that.

But the question remains: Why does the process still feel like such an uphill battle for many deserving candidates?

Yes, I totally agree. It can be very difficult to get internships without having contacts. That’s the harsh truth about finding jobs and internships. There is so much competition, and sadly, many deserving people are not getting what they truly deserve.

It’s true that many deserving candidates exist, but not everyone secures a job or internship. Today, having internal connections is crucial for landing a position.

Totally agreed , this is why people say that we should start networking and build connections whenever possible. It is very difficult to get opportunities without doing that when though we are deserving as people don’t know about our potential yet. In this competitive world, we have to do extra things and build connections for our work.

Exactly… its just like you are trying to get a job without acquaintance.

That’s such a valid point @ujalapanday2808. It really is tough for students without connections to break into internships, even when they have the skills and passion. A lot of opportunities still rely on networking rather than open merit, which can be discouraging.

Platforms like @MedBoundHub are making a difference but there’s still a long way to go. Everyone deserves a fair chance to learn and grow especially in fields like healthcare and biotech where fresh talent is so important.

Yes i agree

Totally agreed and it is unfair too . What if one is knowledgeable yet isn’t getting opportunities due to lack of contacts ? Everyone deserves a fair chance to grow and learn things .

Totally agree

Many internships and entry level roles aren’t posted publicly Instead They are filled through referrals and internal recommendations. And competition is too high as hundreds of people apply for a single position.

It is a sad reality that it is difficult to get into an internship or trainee positions without having internal connections. The ones with qualification, skills and potential still find it hard to get into a position because of the internal politics happening in most of the organisations. It can be seen that organisations mostly fills their vacancies through employee referral medium which cut down the chances for qualified outsiders.

i have faced this kind of situations
