When I was in my final year of B.Pharm, I was torn between Pharmaceutics and Regulatory Affairs. A senior told me how she chose Regulatory because she loved paperwork and law, while my friend picked Pharmaceutics because he enjoyed lab work. It made me realize everyone’s path is different. How did you decide your specialization—was it your interest, job scope, salary, or just chance? Share your story so others can learn too!
During my final year i am also confused in new way that is medical coding because after b pharm there many jobs on based of b pharmacy. And I liked new things to learn.
Nice to hear these new informative things from you.
Choosing specialization is very important as it depends on our skills and interest in the field.Because this is not a short term period and we need to start a good platform to make our long term goals come true. But most of the pharmacy students is confused at the early stage of the career as they are not experienced and they don’t have clarity regarding the future.
I can totally understand this situation because I was also confused between pharmaceutical analysis and pharmaceutics, same way I also asked my seniors and searched on the net about the future aspects and opportunities regarding these subjects.
It depends on your interest and scope.
This is a very interesting topic to talk about! As a final-year B.Pharm student and still figuring it out, I’ve developed a keen interest in both medical writing and pharmaceutics. Sometimes, I do feel confused about which path to choose. Talking to mentors, friends, and seniors who are already working in these fields really helps me understand what might suit me best. Sometimes, it’s not just about interest but also job scope and growth that guide the decision.
Choosing a specialization is very difficult as it represents your future
What you choose becomes your daily routine so choose something that you won’t get bored of doing even in when you are tired!
As you said they chose based on their interest, likes or needs. It’s upto you to prioritise and choose
It’s very true fact, because lack of guidance at college level.
student get only bookish knowledge rather than real life, recent era updated knowledge.
they don’t have idea about opportunities they get after specialisation.
I am a recent graduate and this is what I am facing. I know my interest in few of the fields and I also know some I won’t enter and fit in at all. But, the only thing I am looking forward to is gaining a personal experience first and then deciding exactly the core career field. I am just in the explore phase and I’ll go along with whatever fits the best. I allow and keep myself open to all opportunities.
I’m in my final yr and still confused as everyone speaks that this is good that is good
It depends upon the interest some people love to do the industry work and some people love tp write the documents it will depend on the interests. No salary no scope nothing if we do the job which we love then we can live peacefully so many people will follow this type of era.
Yes it create a confusion to choose a career and further studies pharmacy students plays a vital role in many fields if ur interested in lab u can choose ceutics if ur interested in law u can choose regulatory affairs if intrested in academics also u have option
I would like to know too
Its same for every profession and depends solely on interest and skills.
Everyone’s journey truly is different. Personally, I was also confused between Clinical Pharmacy and Medicinal chemistry. I chose Clinical because I enjoy direct patient care and understanding how treatment decisions impact real lives. For me, interest came first, then I looked at scope and growth. I feel it’s important to pick what excites you the most, not just what pays more.
It’s fact many students are confused about choosing a specialization cause bachelor of pharmacy is a course which teaches approx everything about medical education we all know now days any medical treatments can not be possible without medicine
This is a phase that everyone goes through after college. The uncertainty, confusion and the pressure to make the right choice. The truth is confusion does not disappear completely but eventually we all take a step forward. In my view, you should consider a field with good growth and stability. But remember, passion is not an optional, its essential!
Probably focusing on your interest and then later discovering opportunities that your interests carry, because every specialization has its own benefits
