"When Your Body Works at Its Best"

Late morning to early afternoon is when your body and brain are most energized and efficient.
According to Ayurveda and modern chronobiology, your maximum energy state during the day typically occurs around:10 AM to 2 PM.

Our metabolism is most elevated in the evening.
Firstly, our body temperature tends to rise in the late afternoon and evening, which promotes increased metabolic activity.

Additionally, our muscle strength and endurance are typically higher during these hours, leading to more calorie expenditure through physical activity.

Furthermore, the concept of thermogenesis comes into play.
Thermogenesis refers to the production of heat by our bodies. During the evening, our bodies naturally engage in more thermogenesis, resulting in a higher calorie burn.

6 AM–10 AM (Kapha Time): Good for exercise to counteract sluggishness
2 PM–6 PM (Vata Time): Good for creative tasks and communication
10 PM–2 AM (Pitta Time again): Body starts internal detox—so rest is key

Vata - Dominant qualities: Light, dry, mobile, subtle, clear
Logic: Best time for meditation, spiritual practices, lightness of body and mind.

Pitta - Dominant qualities: Hot, sharp, intense, oily, light
Logic: The body can digest the heaviest meal during this time.

Kapha -
Dominant qualities: Heavy, slow, cool, moist, stable
Logic: If we don’t move during this time, Kapha aggravates → lethargy, congestion, dullness.

Beautiful information. During morning time, cortisol hormone is generally higher in the body, that makes us more alert and active and it assists in sharp decision making. If one is working with regulation and organization, cortisol functions well, but when one starts to take tension and gets worried about day-to-day tasks and starts getting overwhelmed, too much of cortisol gets released into the bloodstream which is not healthy. Towards evening, based upon the circadian rhythm, melatonin hormone gets secreted and it helps us in relaxing without being alert much and also towards night our body temperature decreases. That’s why evening exercise is not healthy for the body, as hyper activity disrupts the required bioechemical functions that the body is supposed to be preparing for the night which is a significant part of human vitality and longevity.
