The Hardest battles are Invisible.

I had a very random conversation with my friend yesterday, and since then it is stuck in my head.

We were just talking casually about just random things, life , normal conversation like always. And suddenly out of nowhere she said, “I’m just tired yaar…mentally tired.”

Not in a dramatic way or something. Not like asking for sympathy. Just casually, like it had become a normal part of life to being “TIRED”.

It made me realize that how many people around us even we also are silently exhausted of everything, exhausted of living while still showing up every day. People are just going ,working, studying, attending meetings, functions , smiling in photos …all while carrying lot of stress, anxiety, fear, pressure, thoughts or emotional burnout that nobody really sees.

I think social media has also played a huge role to make it worse. Everyone looks like they are doing great, and sometimes people just feel guilty for being exhausted. We all need a break in between from our own thoughts.

And We genuinely never know what someone is dealing with internally. Maybe being kind, patient, and checking in on people matters more than we think.

Have you guys had a simple conversation with someone that stayed with you ?

What you have mentioned in this post is something I relate to , maybe a little too much , so the moment I read your post , I thought " How did she read my mind" . There were and still are days when all I want to do is run to the mountains and never return again ! But I’m also so so grateful for the work that I have , for having a purpose in my life as a dentist , but somewhere along the lane it feels exhausting due to long OPD hours and then I look at my friends enjoying a nice vacation , posting aesthetic pictures and then I feel I’m missing out on things .

I think what we need to remember is that – WE ARE HUMANS at the end of the day , we can’t do everything all at once , can’t be everywhere all at once . Finding the perfect work life balance makes our life easier , happier and alot peaceful. When you work --just work . Outside work — spend quality time with family and friends . Because – " ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY"

What you have experienced is called the fomo effect in our mind, Social media wants us to feel exhausted because we all are addicted to it , The fear of missing out or FOMO is constantly seek our validation and when it is not coming from innersight we felt exhausted

I love the idea of just having a simple, genuine conversation with a close friends and family, the kind where you sit down and talk about real life, your fears about the future, and what you can do to make our parents happy. While we see many influencers on social media acting happy in a way that feels fake, we shouldn’t blindly criticize everything online. There is also very good content that shows the reality of a simple life, how people work hard to become successful etc. It isn’t all bad, we just have to be careful to distinguish between what is performance and what is a real, inspiring story.

Ultimately, the best part of life is that balance - finding inspiration in the good stories we see online but always returning to the real friends who heal us when we are down.

Thanks for adressing this it is a very simple question but has soo much depth to it. Yes there are many conversations that have stayed with me. One of my friend keeps posting on social media just for validation she does not get at home. We often find people enjoying their lives but problem with some people is they just want to keep proving themselves for which they use social media to seek validation. After a point it exhausts them.

Concept of being visible in social media platforms created mental exhaustion, during our childhood we were having slow lives , could enjoy everything, now it feels like we are racing all the time

Very well written…we feel evryone on social media now days everyone else other than us are happy and doing something grea..and irony is that it’s not only feeling of one person but entire generation..all around us having same complaint that I’m the only one who is not doing something great and all the other have fantastic life..but truth is everyone is one their pace and everyone just share their achivement or happy moments on social media..

And this all makes sense that we all are on our own pace and all around us are also same..when we just talk with our friends or even with stranger from bottom of our heart without any polish..

Very relatable and thoughtfully written. Sometimes the people who look completely fine on the outside are silently struggling the most, which is why kindness and genuine conversations matter so much.

Such a beautiful post!

A simple conversation that I had kept close to my heart will be the one I had with my college best friend while we were in a bus late in evening. We talked so much about our lives and our amazing friendship. It really made us very close and brought more trust into our friendship!

I think everyone in life have there own battles and almost everyone is exhausted, that’s why we all need a break from everything for sonetime to connect with ourselves , and always be kind to others because we don’t know what someone is going through.

Travelling happens to be one of my biggest passions. On one of my trips to Manali, at the side of a waterfall, a small family opened a chai tapri, and they were the sweetest people ever. They lost their home and their chai stall in the Manali floods, but they came back and set it right back up. We sat with their family for 4 hours just talking about them; it was magical…It was beautiful to see that if you have the courage and the mindset to rebuild, you can do just about anything.
