The Friends Who Made My Internship Beautiful!

Finally, the burden of exams, patient hunts, practicals, and collecting mentor signatures came to an end! Also I could sleep without dreaming about deadlines and viva questions!

Internship was honestly one of the best phases of my life. We were a gang of six, and the bond we shared was something special. Sure, there was competition, everyone was running their own race but still, we stuck together. We did almost everything as a team: finishing up cases, heading to camps, helping each other with the tough cases, bunking clinics and sharing countless laughs over lunch.

I still remember how we sat in a circle during breaks, opening our tiffins and exchanging bites from each other’s boxes. We were all day scholars, so lunch time really felt like a mini picnic.

There was one guy in our team who hardly ever brought food, we made sure he never went hungry. And in some departments, we barely had time to eat at all. But somehow, we still managed to make space for fun. Making reels during breaks was our thing, those moments still crack me up when I watch them now.

Clinical life can be a bit monotonous sometimes. You are the junior doctor shadowing the senior. But when you have the right people around you, even the routine becomes memorable.

I truly miss my internship days. Did anyone else have a gang like this during internship? Would love to hear your stories!
