Cardiovascular Diseases are on the rise because of mismanaged symptoms of stress.
The stress goes beyond basic headaches, breathlessness, eating disorders etc.
Oxidative stress from the cellular levels, manifests entire Cardiovascular system distortion in time very silently.
Apart from regulating your CVS, regulating your hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis(HPA axis) draws the line that crosses over from acute stress to chronic stress.

Taking some time off everyday to do something that helps you unwind

  1. Lift some weights, if that’s your thing. It helps you sleep well, drops cortisol levels, strengthens body and mind.. It works wonders for me!
  2. stop inflammation causing foods, gradually shift to whole foods. Its a little pricey and takes discipline, but inflammation and stress drop dramatically from our bodies.
  3. Stand out and soak some sunlight everyday. It does great wonders for the brain chemistry.
  4. Once a week, doing a deep clean of your house, your work belongings, finances, etc makes you feel lesser stressed about your control over things around you.
  5. Find the right companions to be around, who uplift you mentally, emotionally and academically. Gym buddies, study partners, walking-track friends are all very important. They will help you maintain the routine.
  6. Listen to music that helps you smile, dance, relax and not the kind you end up listening to, to keep up with the crowd out there.
  7. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and guidance. Everyone is figuring out what they want and how to achieve in life.
  8. Figure out what works best for you, breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, gardening, cooking/baking(my personal fav), reading etc.

Being stress-free every day with the hustle and bustle of life is a bit challenging but achievable. I hope these 5 keys would help you achieve that:

  • Mastering your everyday schedule and prioritizing your tasks based on your time & urgency. It helps you to be focused on what truly matters.
  • Embrace regular self-care. Your well-being is non-negotiable, and this habit boosts your resilience.
  • Practicing mindfulness and relaxation. This helps you to be less reactive to daily pressures.
  • Fostering strong connections and habits. These practices provide you, a mental break and bring a sense of joy & accomplishment outside of your daily routine.
  • Cultivating a positive mindset. This is an important aspect, because your perspective plays a huge role. If your stress becomes overwhelming, don’t hesitate to seek professional help. Focus on what you can control and let go of what you can’t.
