Skills VS Degree: The career crossroad every graduate faces.

Every graduate faces this question at some point - should I start working to build skills and gaining practical knowledge or go for master’s degree?

Corporate world gives you real experience about team working, problem solving, critical thinking, technical knowledge, real industry exposure but master’s degree builds depth, specialization and long time career strength.

During my internship I gained hand’s on experience that wasn’t taught during academics. I realised practical experience gives you different perspective to what we study. For me it’s not about choosing one over other but finding right balance between skills and education.

What would you choose - skills or higher studies??

Both are equally important we need to find a balance between both of them for the best learning.

Both are equally important, but I feel skills outweigh a bit than the other.

Both are equally important . Skill based higher studies should be preferred. There is nothing to choose . You can do both at different times but can apply both at the same time in your practice .
