Should pharmacy students spend more time learning patient communication?

We spend years learning drug mechanisms, interactions, and therapeutic uses. But when it comes to explaining medicines to patients in simple words, many students still feel nervous.

Knowing the science is important, but communicating it clearly is equally important.

A patient may forget complicated terminology, but they usually remember how clearly and confidently something was explained to them.

Do you think communication training should be given more importance in pharmacy education?

Now it’s added in syllabus. I think if you truely passionate in the field then no barriers will stop you .
