I think the interest or the passion for that specialty trumps everything else (of course that branch should be within the reach).
For example, psychiatry is one specialty that not everyone can practice. Even if someone awarded that specialty to me, I would not have taken that.

I think interest for topic is of utmost importance while selecting a pg branch . Other factors that should be kept in mind are the lifestyle u wanna have in future . If you don’t want emergencies then one should go for non clinical branches or branches like dermatology.
