In India, lifestyle diseases such as Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension, CVDs, Fatty liver, Cancer etc. are in rise mostly due to the sedentary mode adopted by a lot of people. Some people have no option, as their professional work does not allow them to move and they sit at a fixed desk throughout the day and at night when they go home, they are too drained out mentally to move their body. The other category of people do not move much because of the lack of health awareness and some people think that it’s not that important and they procrastinate and sometimes as they feel some pain in the body after body movement, they do not continue. Along with the absence of optimal movement, the diets that people are eating are also highly processed filled with saturated and trans fats, lots of salts and sugars, and refined carbohydrates. As there’s not much time to invest in healthy cooking because of a fast-moving life, people are bound to eat anything that’s reaching their hands to satisfy their hunger. These two habits are majorly affecting our metabolism and that’s the primary reason behind many lifestyle diseases. To this, when stress gets added up, it heightens the intensity of the conditions and by disrupting sleep, it doesn’t allow the natural healing system of the human body to work efficiently.
