You can get a short trick for this in jambulkar sir’s notes .!

Pyrimidine nucleotide biosynthesis:

  1. Starts with simple molecules (bicarbonate, glutamine, aspartate)
  2. Forms orotic acid, then OMP, UMP, and other pyrimidines (CMP, TMP)
  3. Key enzymes: carbamoyl phosphate synthetase II, dihydroorotate dehydrogenase
  4. Pathway is regulated for balanced DNA/RNA synthesis

Essential for DNA and RNA production!

Nice explanation @Aadish
