Need of the hour......

As a professor myself… I believe an old school system of teaching should be change…

A practical approach towards a case
How to connect dots which leads towards diagnosis
Diagnostic algorithm
Active discussion
A session including question answers

Can help the students learn and apply the knowledge in a better way ..
What is your opinion on this ???

I agree practical,case-based teaching with diagnostic reasoning, discussions, and real-world clinical skills are better than traditional rote methods.

Case-based teaching that allows students to interact with patients fosters interest in learning and creates lasting memories.

Evolution is the rule of nature.

So it’s necessary to evolve one self to cope up with the surroundings.

Change is the only constant
So , the old method of education should be definately replaced by the New Method of education

I completely agree @shivani1. Shifting from the old-school, lecture-based approach to something more practical makes a huge difference. When students get to actively engage with cases, ask questions and work through diagnostic algorithms, it really helps them connect the dots and think critically.
It’s all about learning how to apply knowledge, not just memorize it. Active discussions and Q&A sessions make the material stick and keep students engaged which is so important for real-world practice.

I think practical knowledge is more important than a theoretical knowledge.

Definetly this should be changed because the new generation students do not show much interest in listening to the classes but are showing interest in exploring and learning new topics by exploring and doing it so this can change the system and many students will eagerly participates in every events by practically approach .

I agree that the education system should change.

It’s okay to teach some parts of the old, but a new update including many present subjects like AI, etc, is very much needed.

yeah, i completely agree. Being a recent graduate i came to know how this world works and felt left behind as there was no gain of practical knowledge.

I agree , the practical knowledge is far better and more valuable than theoretical knowledge.
Practical experience can help us understand very well and clear. Practically students learns from practical when the student do and they learn about it while diagnosis and they have active discussions.
But we need take notes also form it that can be useful for us my opinions is practical knowledge is good.

Practical based studies/ teaching is best technique to understand the concept where different queries and discussion can make things better to understand.

If education is just teaching theory and not giving practical exposure, is it even true education?

I agree with you. Real life case scenarios and practical teaching with diagnostic algorithm, discussion, question answer sessions are obviously better than the existing theoretical approach. It will help in making the topics and studies more active and interesting.

yapp practical knowledge is necessary

Case based studies which help them to connect with them and have real practical experience than the traditional method of teaching

Yes,some of the old school system should be changed for the productivity,Knowledge gaining techniques, time consuming to gain knowledge and skills will be reduced,to gain lot of experience through practical way and few discussions should be raised so that few questions will be formed through particular topics.

Practical based teaching helps students learn properly
There are lot of differences in reading books and seeing it in real patients
The more patients seen the more its retained in brain

I completely agree! Theoretical knowledge without practical application leaves big gaps in learning. Incorporating case-based discussions, diagnostic reasoning, and interactive Q&A not only builds critical thinking but also prepares students for real-world problem solving. It’s time education focused on how to think, not just what to remember.
