My Non-Negotiables Before Starting a Study Session

Before I even open my books, here’s my quick ritual:

Clean desk – clutter = great starting point
Water bottle + coffee – hydration & focus team-up
Noise-cancelling headphones (or lofi beats)
Timer set: 50 minutes focus, 10 minutes break
To-do list written on a sticky note – realistic, not heroic

What’s your must-have before a starting a study session?

A cup of coffee or tea is a must for me if I have to do deal with an intense topic! Eg respiratory physiology :woman_technologist:

Keeping the phone out of reach

I always use timer in Forest app and it encourages me always to study.
I always drink water time to time to maintain my concentration.

Totally relate! For me, I need a quick 5–10 minute walk before sitting down—it helps clear my head.

Turn on the forest app, open windows for fresh air and keep a chocolate bar handy.

Clean table
Books, papers, pens, pencils,… keep nearby.

Coffee and water bottle are must for me.

Activated parasympathetic system :raising_hands:t2:

My phone on silent is a must for me

Meditation for 10 mins! To avoid the overthinking and increase concentration

:upside_down_face: first thing switch off your phone
