Monsoon is such a beautiful season, but yes, it brings its own set of health challenges. I feel staying hydrated with clean water, avoiding outside food, and keeping our surroundings dry and clean really helps. Adding turmeric milk or ginger tea in the evening is really helpful.

True. It’s very important to take precautions during monsoon to stay healthy.

Few more things that we can do:

  1. Disinfect doorknobs, switches & phones regularly
  2. All leafy vegetables should be soaked in water with salt or vinegar and washed properly, as during monsoon they may contain more dirt, pests, and microbes
  3. Avoiding raw or cut fruits that are mostly sold outdoors
  4. Foot care with antifungal powder
  5. Cleaning ceiling fans as they collect dust and mold, and when used in humid conditions, they can circulate more allergens and irritants
  6. Taking care of gut health by eating fermented or probiotic foods like curd or home-made pickles

Monsoon is indeed a beautiful season, but it also comes with an increased risk of health problems like viral fevers, water-borne diseases, mosquito borne diseases and respiratory problems. It is always better to be precautious to avoid diseases:

  • Drink clean and boiled water
  • Keep your surroundings clean and avoid water logging which can cause mosquito breeding
  • Maintain proper personal hygiene
  • Avoid street food as much as possible

Thank you for such a great idea to keep ourselves safe in this monsoon.

During monsoon maintaining surroundings clean and hygiene is very important.

Monsoon feels refreshing but also brings health risks like infections and stomach issues. Drinking clean water and eating light food really helps. I try to include ginger and turmeric in my meals to boost immunity. Keeping skin dry and avoiding mosquito bites is also important. We should stay alert for flu and viral symptoms. Simple habits can protect us during this season.

Stagnant water acts as the breeding grounds of mosquitoes. It can cause various infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue etc. It is important to use mosquito nets while sleeping, to close doors and windows, avoid dark clothing etc.

Prevention is always better than cure.

Preparation for monsoon health should start even before it arrives

In ayurveda it’s written that -
The lifestyle gap is 14 days between two seasons
7 days of earlier and 7 days of coming season

We should start the change little bit in those 7 days and completely adapt to it in the next 7 days

That’s how we could be staying healthy throughout the season!

During monsoon season, maintain good hygiene by washing hands often and avoiding street food to prevent infections. Drink boiled or filtered water and eat freshly cooked meals to protect against waterborne diseases. Keep yourself dry, and use mosquito repellents to reduce the risk of flu, dengue, and malaria.
