It’s a myth that it can affect your next period cycle.
Just don’t use it in excess then it may create complications.
It will create intense pain afterwards and also complications related to hormones.
So it’s better not to take medicine for periods pain all the time. It can be relieved by drinking hot water, placing hot water bag, drinking fenugreek water, etc.

It’s better to have natural treatment as you have mentioned in order to get relief from the pain instead of taking medications until or unless it is unbearable.
Even if someone take medicines it’s better to have them in low dosage and by consulting the Healthcare professionals.

Taking painkillers like mefenamic acid or ibuprofen during periods is generally safe and doesn’t affect your next cycle.
They help reduce prostaglandins (which cause cramps), not your hormones.
Unless overused or taken without guidance, it’s not harmful and the idea that it disrupts cycles is mostly a myth.

In Dysmenorrhea, excessive pain and cramping- even though exact cause is not entirely understood - may be due to excessive prostaglandins. Thus, taking NSAIDs like Ibuprofen may help as they reduce the amount of prostaglandins.
