Legal actions should be taken after the culprit is proven guilty. Maybe then this treatment is justifiable as a state imposed penalty by the court. Considering the this is rather unethical and could pose further harm.

Earlier ,the guru - shishya relationship was considered like the sacred -bond but now in today’s world it’s a complete change no boundaries b/w student -teacher is maintained its really sad to see ,it gives very bad impact on the society .

Honestly, I think the reaction was justified. What he did wasn’t a mistake, it was deliberate and wrong, and he likely knew he could get away with it. When people like that rely on silence and inaction, a strong public reaction sometimes feels like the only way to hold them accountable and make it clear that this kind of behavior won’t be tolerated.
While the lecturer’s behavior was completely inappropriate and a serious breach of professional ethics, physical assault is the worst and the most shameful responsible from his side. Such misconduct must be reported to the college administration and police if needed. Institutions must ensure swift action so students feel safe using formal channels as formal channels ensure accountability without compromising the students position
In my opinion, assaulting a faculty was not a very wise decision. However, I wonder why students have to resort to such measure to have their voices being finally heard. An institution should be a safe space for students to learn, and it is the administration and the faculty’s job to ensure this. I think a brief personality check should be done before hiring any employee to reduce such instances.
I think the issue should not be taken to the police because this is an sensitive issue between the staff and the girl,so it should be handled within the institution itself.police case should be registered only if there is no proper action from institution side.
This shows the failure of dignity which is often seen in teacher student relationship. This era is going towards complex and paradoxical shift in the name of freedom to speak. Strict measures should be aken and an example should be set to avoid such awkward situation
