Types of Insomnia
1. Acute insomnia – Short-term, often caused by stress, travel, or sudden life changes; usually lasts days to weeks.
2. Chronic insomnia – Lasts at least 3 nights a week for 3 months or more; often linked to medical or psychological conditions.

1.Lifestyle changes (first choice)
• Fixed sleep schedule
• Avoid caffeine & screens before bed
• Calm bedtime routine
• Dark, quiet, cool bedroom
2. Medicines (short-term only, doctor advice)
• Prescription: Zolpidem, Eszopiclone
• OTC: Melatonin
3. Treat the cause
