Examinations are the most stressful and anxiety inducing part of our lives. The fear and stress stems from the importance of the grades on our academic excellence. Stress management is a key factor in performing excellently in the examinations. Too much stress and fear can push you back and reduce your focus, this in-turn leads to forgetfulness while writing the exams.
I genuinely get stressed almost all the time, when there is an exam season. But, I try to calm my nerves through deep breaths, taking breaks between studying and revising my notes. Revising before the exam definitely helps as it boosts my confidence that I have completed the necessary studying for my exam. It is essential to avoid studying everything at once, take a break and continue studying. This way, it helps you better understand and focus on your exams.
Exams are definitely scary but converting that fear and stress into productivity can definitely help.

I’ve found that anxiety usually decreases when I stop thinking about the entire exam and focus only on the next task. A short walk, deep breathing, and avoiding post exam discussions help a lot. Dwelling on a paper that is already over rarely helps performance on the next one, but preserving mental energy often does.
I am grateful to have super supportive parents. They are my mood boosters and stress busters. Having a cup of tea with them, discussing the latest neighbourhood gossip, or just having deep, meaningful talks about life and my current emotional state calms me before my exams.

For me, exam anxiety can get overwhelming and often affects my performance. The one thing that truly helps me calm down is talking to my mother. Somehow, a conversation with her helps me feel grounded, reassures me, and reminds me that I can handle whatever comes my way
First step is good preparation. And most important is good rest or sleep the day before exams. Less caffeine intake and good nutrition are other ways to decrease anxiety.
