Always a blessing. As anything that we personally love can be healthily cooked in a way we want it with healthier oil, not heavy butter, not much spicy, no extra sauces, food colors, not much of salt and sugar etc. Besides, the same dish we can cook in different styles at different times and relish it in a relaxed way. Besides, self-ccoking is so therapeutic and it allows one to stay mindful, so its one of the best ways to practice mindfulness. When our personal energy go into the food cooking procedure, we always feel the emotional touch through food and that keep us in peace and contentment. We never over-eat at home, unlike the outside foods, as the foods at restaurants are mostly cooked with those ingredients that give us dopamine spikes and we crave for more despite our stomachs are filled. Also, as rightly outlined, ordering foods from outside mostly through online platforms are much expensive and we do not know the regarding the freshness of the vegetables and there’s chance of bloating, constipation, stomach pain, acidity, food poisoning etc.
Absolutely agree!
Home food has that special warmth no restaurant meal can give. It feels safe, fresh, and full of love.
Even a simple dal-chawal made at home tastes better than any fancy dish outside. Truly a blessing we often take for granted!
Its first thing where i learnt its value only after stepping out of home. Every single day i wish I could eat my home food and even on bad health days I feel it
Home food value can be known clearly when we step out of our house for our education or work purpose. By cooking ourselves even when we don’t want to or when we don’t know how to cook and when we are not feeling well and especially eating everyday hostel or pg foods makes us realize how blessed we are to have our home food these many years
There’s something deeply nourishing—beyond just nutrients—about a meal cooked at home. It’s love, tradition, and care served on a plate. In a world of fast food and rushed meals, home cooking stands as a sanctuary of health and connection.
Why Home Food is Truly a Blessing:
Healthier & Cleaner – No hidden additives, excess salt, or processed sugars; just real ingredients.
Cultural Roots – Recipes passed down through generations keep family stories and traditions alive.
Mindful Eating – Cooking at home encourages slower, more intentional meals, reducing stress and overeating.
Economic & Sustainable – Cheaper than eating out and reduces food waste when planned well.
Home food is indeed a blessing. You get to know the real value of home-made food once you move away from home. The love, compassion, care and even health benefits that come with home-made food are truly unmatched.
