All three are great, but it depends on your goal:

Gym – Best for fat loss and muscle tone, makes you stronger and shapes your body

Yoga – Best for relaxation and flexibility, helps with stress and improves posture

Pilates – Best for core strength and toning, great for flat tummy and better posture

I enjoyed the yoga the most because it helps us to feel calm, centred and connected to our body. It offers a balance of physical movement and mental clarity, allowing us to build flexibility, reduce stress and stay present.

With the passing time, I have tried all of the options. But Yoga is the thing in which I am remaining consistent without any extra efforts. I am enjoying it. It’s best option for not Just the physical aspect but equally for the mental aspect, for mind, for soul.

Yoga is best if we want something sustainable for long-term and something that we can do as we move forward with age. It is beneficial for both physical and mental health upliftment and also it helps in increasing flexibility and mobility which is very important as we grow older and in day-to-day life, it can help us much with all the work that we do either at house, at work-place, or outside. Besides, it does not strain our heart much which is kind of common during a gym workout. Also, most people cannot continue with gym sessions for long as they are highly strenuous and not everyone’s body is fit for the same or is capable to withstand strain for a long time. Whereas, yoga is mostly safe and can be practiced by people of all ages. It allows you to feel your body in the same rhythm as it carries and can give us a good awareness of our bodily function in a calm manner. For a brief period of time, definitely pilates and gym can be utilized for timely benefits, but it gets difficult to continue with them for long. Exercise should be something that we love to do, something that should not make us feel tired/lazy and if it demands much of labour, at some point of time our minds give up doing that.

For me, personally, I am a gym girlie. Those early mornings, with music in your ears and working those muscles with mixture of sweat, feels like me.
