Food supplements for good Health


Food supplements can play a supportive role in maintaining good health when used wisely. Common ones include multivitamins for overall nutrition, vitamin D and calcium for bone health, and omega-3 fatty acids for heart and brain function. Probiotics help with gut health, while magnesium supports muscle function and sleep. Protein supplements are often used by active individuals, and vitamin B12 and iron are crucial for energy and preventing deficiencies, especially in vegetarians and women. However, it’s important to take supplements based on individual needs and medical advice, as unnecessary or excessive intake can lead to side effects.

Honestly I don’t use food supplements on daily basis…I take 3 time nutritious cooked food only.

Im planning on first visiting a doc and get prescription of supplements that will benefit me

Food supplements have become essential now-a-days as the diet does not suffice the daily intake.

For vitamin E supplements it increase the bleeding risk.

Before proceeding to take any food supplement i will consult doctor then i will use.

I take zinc, calcium and vitamin D when doctor prescribed me. Otherwise I don’t prefer taking these supplements.

When supplements are prescribed by doctor, the doctor gives the proper direction of usage but when it is taken without prescription then the individual should know about the dosage and side effects of the supplements. If taken in excessive amount it may cause severe side effects. So before taking supplements the individual should know about its dosage and limit for good health.

If possible, then we should always try to obtain all the necessary vitamins and other essential nutrients naturally.
