Planning PG prep and juggling a lot other responsibilities vary from person to person. I have watched people return to trying for PG exam after a gap of 5-6 years and also people who joined almost immediately after internship.
Only those who walked into PG after taking their own time to process the break or lack thereof, understanding their strengths and adjustments, did justice to their PG. The others usually felt discord throughout.

As an intern, balancing duties and NEET PG prep is tough. Taking a drop year offers focused study time, but I’d weigh confidence, discipline, and financial aspects before deciding.

I think it depends on the person. If you’re good at managing time and can stay consistent, preparing during internship is possible. But if you feel overwhelmed or want a top rank, taking a drop year can give you the focus and space to prepare properly. Personally, I’d prefer a drop year if I wasn’t confident with my prep—it’s better to give your best once than rush and regret later.

I personally feel that drop year has its own advantages and disadvantages. It depends on an individual how he or she weighs these advantage s and disadvantages. But i do strongly believe that during internship one should focus on their practical skills. Giving one shot injection, finding vein by urself, central vein access, episiotomy suturing all these boost ur confidence to sky high levels when compared to the intern sitting in library and preparing for neet pg. So enjoy ur internship bcoz once if u get into ur pg branch u wont be able to experience the workload of other departments. So be in present and give ur fullest during ur internship and take a drop year and prepare well for neet pg

Doing NEET PG just after internship took lot of from us
We are living the last year with the people who you’re not going to meet , your doing that procedure / investigation for first or may be for last so live it the fullest and do things which you want to do in that year , give some time to learn that new skill , you can start something new on your own

Depends and varies from person to person based on their interest ,confidence, mental health situation and financial stability.
