Do you believe in marriage anymore??

Do you believe marriage is truly needed in today’s world??

Lately, there have been many heartbreaking stories of cases of abuse, emotional trauma, and even suicides related to marriage. It makes me wonder, Is marriage really essential for everyone? Or are many of us pushed into it because of cultural pressure or societal expectations?

What are your thoughts on this?

my opinion: earlier time , joint family and big family exist. everyone is busy in their work like women in kitchen and men in outside field work. No existence of any apps , no exchange of western culture .
BUT TODAY , everyone is in every field , western culture are dominating , cheating , using person for their own need then throwing them like trash are new trend.
Married men introduce themselves as single and traps girls { same for women}
someone is still in contact with their ex.
Marriage is beautiful , but some cheap just for their enjoyment they ruined this .

Moral : As a girl i really don’t believe , i have seen many married couples , engaged couples cheating their partners. even the thinking of men like we want to date 10000 girls , but our wife should have 0 ex

Marriage is basically cultural pressure among most Indians
It’s not necessary,
And most women marry becoz they don’t want to defame their parents

Get married only when your partner can be trusted and you feel confident about the relationship. Social media has ruined relationships, people are difficult to trust now. So I always advise people to spend enough time with their partner and see the compatibility between them. If you are lucky and everything works out, then getting married becomes the greatest blessing in your life.

So in my opinion nobody are interested in marriages everyone are fighting alot with their parents for not getting married both men and women. But nobody are listening to us so most of the people are getting married due to their parents force some people are marrying because of society pressure. and others are scared of marriage due to responsibilities. Everyone has their opinions and most of the people had negative opinion on his topic marriage.

Now a day, people know about their rights specially in metro city. A person wants respect, love and independence for themselves but forget to give respect, love and independence to their partner. Relations are like a business these days.

No, I don’t believe in marriage anymore because it doesn’t hold the same meaning or security it once did.

Yes, I agree. I’ve seen both happy and struggling couples, and I feel that a happy marriage is definitely a blessing.

Sad truth!:face_holding_back_tears:

The perspective towards marriage is changing. What once felt essential is now being questioned by many.

Marriage isn’t essential for everyone—its importance depends on personal values and circumstances. While it can offer love and stability, many people face abuse or pressure that make it harmful or unwanted. In today’s world, marriage should be a choice based on mutual respect and genuine connection, not just tradition or societal expectations. What truly matters is having healthy, supportive relationships—whether married or not.

We have all seen stories about cheating partners, divorce, and more. While some may lose faith in marriage due to societal pressure and parental expectations, both love and arranged marriages can be challenging without the right partner. It’s crucial to understand your partner beyond their romantic gestures. A supportive partner is essential, especially in today’s times where both individuals work and share household responsibilities. Ultimately, a successful marriage requires trust, and mutual understanding.

I think getting married or not must be a personal choice. BEING SINGLE IS BETTER THAN ENDING UP WITH A BAD PARTNER. Get married only if you’re ready for it. Once you marry someone it doesn’t mean that it’s okay to abuse them. And it’s not okay to stay quiet when you’re not getting the mutual respect. If you’re not at all happy with marriage and if you’re suffering because of your partner then get a divorce, don’t stay with them just because you got married.
