As a pharma under graduate I do feel sorry for innovators but 
generic medicines are cheaper with same formula but unfortunately not advertised so general people are not that much aware regarding it , what else pros are of generic medicine are there ? And do tell if you think that there is any cons.

Generic medicines are available at low cost compared to branded, thus it will helpful for people to afford. But there may be variability in excipients.

Honestly, it’s smart to go for generics instead of brand names. They usually have the same ingredients and do the same job, but cost way less. Why pay extra just for the label?

As a pharmacy student I would say both generic and branded medicines are same the composition in the generic and branded medicines are same .The generic medicines are cost Friendly than branded medicines.Generic medicines are significantly more useful for the poor people

Why??
They do have tie-ups with brands and they promote brands.
These brands are of high cost and not everyone can afford it.
Generic need promotion to reach into more people.

Generic medicines are affordable, equally effective, cost saving, and increase accessibility. They have same API as branded medicine, ensuring quality and produce same effect. Although the in active ingredient or excipients may differ, generic medicine are reliable and affordable alternate.

Generic medicines are good, cheaper and has the same bioequivalence and efficiency. They get FDA approval too. They are not familiarized to all because the generic drugs lack marketing. Usually doctors don’t prescribe it because there are chance of minor contamination and also there are chances that it may lead to mixing of pills as well as unavailability in all region.

Government should educate people on this aspect by collaborating with doctors for promoting the use of generic medicines. But unfortunately, some doctors still write brand names in the prescription.

Yes, you’re right! Generic medicines are a big help because they cost less and still work the same as branded ones.
For ex:
Paracetamol is a common medicine. The branded one like Crocin may cost ₹20, but a generic version cost only ₹5. Both work the same to reduce fever or pain.
Pros:
Low price
Same formula and effect
Easy for more people to buy
Cons:
Some people think cheap means low quality
Looks and name may be different

here is the difference between generic and brand drug.
The generic drugs are affordable to each and everyone. whereas the brand drugs can be afforded by only the 50 percent of the people.

Yeah absolutely agree with it ! As generic medicines do function same as that of brand medicine. They are the cost effective than brand medicine. Then why to waste money on branded medicines when you have pocket friendly medicines.

as a pharma student, i can say that both the generic and branded constitute of same active ingredient. The main disadvantage is lack of awareness and promotion. That’s why many people prefer branded over this generic drugs

True Generic medicine are not costly so therefore we should prefer generic medicine over branded and it also does the same work as branded medicine
