Good question. I don’t use any Health insurance from india, but curious to know how health insurance access has increased over the years for Indians! Is it significant or not In terms of population covered?

Although the insurance growth rate is significant over the past few years, more than half population is still uninsured.

Yesterday, i have read an articles which said Ahmedabad Hospital has banned cashless health insurance plans. I think LIC health insurance plan is preferred all over India.

Yup had to do a lot of study while purchasing one.
Now using CARE health insurance- covers most of the expenses at the time of need.
You need to look at basics -
1.Cashless hospitals
2.diseases covered
3.any room rent limi(best if no rent limit)
4.also waiting periods for certain treatments.
5.At last premium and no claim bonuses.

I use Star Health. So far i’ve had a smooth experience with cashless claims but that works only if the hospital falls under Star Health’s network.
