Are Entry Level Jobs For Freshers or Experienced Candidates?

I have come across numerous job postings which are mentioned as “Entry Level”, but demands experienced candidates in its job description.
Have you faced this same situation? What do these organizations really mean by “Entry Level Jobs” if they don’t give a shot for freshers? Share your thoughts on it.

Yes, I have experienced this personally not one but three times. One such terrible experience was when a well known company conducted a Walk-in drive for freshers for certain role in Clinical Research, where they took interviews in a group not individually and they actually took the experienced one’s eventhough i and two others were really good in the interview.
After experiencing this three times i thought may be i should not attend Walk-ins anymore.

Yes, I’ve noticed this too many entry-level jobs ask for experience, which is confusing for freshers. Sometimes, companies want candidates who can start quickly without much training, so they ask for experience even at beginner roles. It feels unfair, but it shows the need for more real opportunities for fresh graduates to learn and grow.

Yes! I’ve seen this so many times and it’s honestly confusing. They call it “entry level” but still expect 1-2 years of experience or some specific skills that freshers are still trying to learn. It feels unfair sometimes because how will freshers gain experience if no one gives them a chance?
Maybe companies want someone who’s “technically” fresh but already trained elsewhere. It’s tough, but I still believe the right opportunity comes when we keep trying and improving ourselves.
