I try to avoid it consciously, but somehow every other thought leads me back here.
Am I doing enough as a medical professional? Am I enough as a daughter? As a friend? As someone chasing her dreams?
We expect ourselves to be always full, but maybe we’re not meant to be overflowing all the time. Being half-full doesn’t make us any less worthy. When I’m emotionally low, I catch myself seeking validation — from people, from outcomes, even from the internet. But healing starts when I remind myself:
“Trust the process.” There’s always something to be proud of — even if it’s just the way we kept going on days you wanted to give up.
Do you ever fall into that “Am I enough?” loop too?
What helps you come out of it?
Let’s talk.

You don’t need to be enough for everyone. That’s an impossible job anyway. Being enough for you is sufficient.

I relate to this deeply.I have learned that “enough” isn’t a constant state-it keeps shifting and changing with time, circumstances and with every phase of life. What helps me to keep myself sane is-showing up honestly, being present though imperfectly and having faith that-consistency counts more than fullness.

You just do “you” is always my motivation

This hit close to home. That “am I enough?” loop sneaks in so quietly, especially when you’re trying to be everything to everyone. Sometimes just showing up and not giving up is already more than enough.

Such a real and relatable post! It’s important to remember that being ‘enough’ isn’t about doing everything perfectly - it’s about showing up, trusting the process, and honoring your own journey. Even on tough days, your effort and growth matter.

Yes, I think about it so often that it can be described as a problem now.
I am working towards guiding myself away from such thoughts.
One thing that works for me is to not measure myself in comparison to others. I should improve and be better than before.
I try my best irrespective of the results now; I enjoy the work, the process more, which mostly leads to satisfying results.
