It’s World Liver Day. Lets discuss some ways to keep our liver healthy!

Liver is our detox center. Treat it with respect and care.
Many drugs/medications can affect it adversely. So, be cautious. Example: There is a common perception that Ayurvedic meds are ‘harmless’. Not true! Some of then may be hepatotoxic.

This theme for world liver day 2025 is ‘Food is Medicine.’ Balanced nutrition can be a game changer for liver health and a healthy lifestyle in general.

1- Eat a balanced diet.
2-Stay physically active.
3-Stay hydrated.
4-Avoid alcohol intake.
5-Avoid self medication.

1.Eat less oily and fried food.
2.Drink alcohol in moderation, or not at all.
3.Walk or exercise daily.
4.Choose water over sugary drinks.
5.Get a liver checkup if you have diabetes, BP or a family history.

  1. Most importantly - Limit/reduce alcohol intake.
  2. Keep yourself active, consider exercising atleast 30-45 minutes/day rather than spending that time on your couch. Avoid unnecessary medications.
  3. Cut down that sugar intake. Cravings are valid but so is your liver’s peace!
  4. HYDRATION is the key!!!

Let’s keep saturated fats away to keep our liver from damage
