Junk food can give pleasure or happiness for short-period of time but is harmful in long term. It causes rapid changes in blood-sugar level , gut health and brain chemicals.
How junk food affects health:
- Gut health disturbance - Too much processed food leads to increase in number of bad bacteria in gut which leads poor digetion and mood swings as brain and gut are connected.
- Low nutrient content - Junk food lacks B Vitamins ,minerals and omega fats ; which are essential to stabilize mood.
- Inflammation in body - Junk food leads to inflamation in body which in turn leads to fatigue and mood instability.
- Addictive eating cycles - Sugars and fast food gives temporary ‘feel good effect’ ,later gives cravings and mood fluctuations.
So when are you planning to limit /and discontinue fast food ?
