Why Do Many Pharmacy Graduates Struggle to Find Good Jobs Right After B.Pharm?

Hi everyone!

One big problem many of us face is that after finishing B.Pharm, it’s not easy to find good jobs with decent salaries or growth.

Some possible reasons I’ve noticed:
•Employers prefer M.Pharm or Pharm.D candidates
•Lack of practical skills or industry exposure during college
•Low awareness of career options beyond traditional roles
•Too many graduates for limited entry-level openings

This leaves many B.Pharm graduates confused, underpaid, or forced to switch fields.

Let’s Discuss:
→ Why do you think fresh B.Pharm graduates struggle in the job market?
→ What practical steps can colleges, seniors, or students themselves take to improve this situation?
→ Are there hidden job options that freshers often miss?

True, the lack of awareness is one big factor for this. There are lot of opportunities in the field of clinical research. The starting salary will be less, but withing 5 years you will be earning very well if you get promoted or if you switch the job.

thing is that pharma industry are not everywhere, the job are less and candidates are more .
so even for a role which required nice pay, many of us do at low pay level
