Yes. Breathing is a crucial phenomenon that regulates our well-being. Through various practices, we can modulate our breathing to fight against stress, anxiety and to bring in calmness, contentment, and peace. Deep breathing where the air flows from the belly to the chest has a big role in maintaining a good health. When the air gets stuck within the chest and doesn’t reach belly, it increases the pressure inside the chest and we feel breathlessness during anxiety or after a heavy workout or exercise. We should start to learn how to breathe fully through conscious efforts first and gradually over the years, body gets used to this pattern and then it gets automated.
