Conclusion: their is a huge difference between Exercise and Exertion we need to understand it carefully.
Rest is as important as exercise. If exercise is close to exertion it may spike cortisol levels and the benefits of workout are diminished. But if adequate rest is taken, growth hormone, testosterone levels increase and benefit your physical goals.
Good distinction—structured exercise and unplanned exertion are often confused. Recognizing the difference helps people train smarter, prevent over-fatigue, and focus on intentional fitness rather than just physical strain.
An amazing and important point to this concept, usually the people in India, especially the women section of the society and the housewives, consider their exertion in the daily housework as exercise, but it does nothing really, and this exertion also takes the energy out of people to perform exercise.
Sweating or feeling tired after heavy work doesn’t always mean we’ve exercised; sometimes we’ve simply overworked the body.
Understanding this difference helps us move from mere physical strain to purposeful movement that truly supports long-term health.
