What if unfairness is life’s design?

Life has always been unfair.

Some people have the highest privilege ever offered, while some still fight for their basic human rights. It echoes through the streets we walk in, the places we share, the eyes of every stranger we meet, and the walls of every home.

The walk of life

Life’s unfairness begins the day we are born. Some are born and placed on the bosom of their mother with the utmost love and care, while others are tossed away as if their lives are worth less than a piece of garbage. Few people grow up spoiled, being granted every thought fulfilled; few have the privilege of leading a normal life, while some are treated as animals in a cage, a slave on contract, a possession to be sold. Their livelihood is only part of survival, not a life worth living.

Is there hope?

Yes, there is hope for a few. Mostly, it’s all in vain. Even people who toil day and night are rejected without a thought. Hard work changes nothing. It does give you a better chance of gaining freedom from your desolate life, but luck plays a major part in determining how you succeed. Unfortunately, not all souls are lucky. Some die trying.

Realizing the truth is an eye-opener for many, but some despair at even breathing. They say ignorance is bliss, and it is, in fact, true in this case. But knowing the truth makes you rethink the way you think about life.

Way to cope

There are various ways to cope with this situation:

  • Stop overthinking
  • Find love
  • Believe in yourself
  • Look beyond life

All it takes is a stroke of luck and a little magic called believing in yourself to live your life. Betrayals and hardships are part of life. Push through the fog and fight till you win.

What do you think about the unfairness of life?

Life is not inherently unfair, you find it to be, only when you start comparing yourself with others. Each and every life on earth is beautiful and purposeful on its own. Everyone have their own struggles, happiness, lucks, success and timeline, it need not be same. Developing acceptance and gratitude helps in reforming your life. Perspective is the ultimate tool for peace which is in our hands.

Unfairness may not be life’s design, but our resilience defines our journey. Very well written post.

Some live unsatisfied in marble palaces and some find peace in shacks. Satification and peace in life is something above the level of materialistic things. Some find independence in being able to take break from work, some find independence in being able to work, basic needs are very important for existence and everything more than that only serves one purpose, it makes you realise that things can’t make your mind satiated, you your self can. No matter where we start we want to feel fulfilled and when we reach there maybe the unfairness of world seem not so important, but for today yes this unfairness hurts, thanks for acknowledging that and for providing ways to cope.

Life is undeniably unfair, and recognizing that truth can feel heavy rather than comforting. But awareness also deepens empathy and reminds us that meaning isn’t only found in what we’re given, but in how we respond by choosing kindness, resilience, and purpose even when the odds are uneven. While we can’t control where life places us, we can still shape how we walk forward, and sometimes that choice itself becomes a quiet form of justice.

Everyone is born with a purpose, and everyone’s life is tailored such ways. Every human being deserves the minimum basics of life. Without basics, freedom is incomplete. Therefore, it is important to be kind and supportive of each other irrespective of differences. Anything could be unfair, but the people around us and the attitude within us can make it bearable, surviving to thriving and many more.

Life isn’t unfair. You should believe in destiny and just keep working hard. We have seen so many people giving us life lessons that everything is achievable. So we should stop thinking about what happened and start working for a better ending for our story.

I agree life isn’t fair always. But, one thing that keeps me going is work without having any expectations from society to treat us fairly . Do the work just for pure joy and higher motive in life.

Life is not just about getting what we want.Live life as it comes, try to count the blessings and be strong to fight against the problems.I know this is easier said than done but what we think as unfairness is sometimes preparing us to face bigger challenges, develop certain skills.
