As students, we often set timelines and goals for ourselves but when things don’t work out the way we expected, it can feel heavy and disappointing. Taking a drop year or facing setbacks can sometimes feel like a burden rather than a break.
But maybe it’s okay to pause. Maybe it’s okay to breathe, realign and come back stronger.
Has anyone else felt this way? How do you deal with the pressure when plans don’t go as expected?
Yes, I also feel like this sometimes. We make plans and study hard, but still things go wrong. It feels very bad and stressful. But I think taking small breaks, talking to friends or family, and remembering that one failure is not the end helps. We can always try again and come back stronger.
That’s a really thoughtful and encouraging way to look at things. You’re absolutely right @Kashish, setbacks can be incredibly tough, especially when we’ve put in so much effort. But taking breaks, leaning on the people who care about us and keeping things in perspective really does make a difference.
Yes — it’s completely okay @Sakshi to face setbacks and the important thing is that you haven’t given up.
Keep believing in yourself. **I know you can and you will. Stay strong, stay focused and keep going.
Most of the times, to do list never completed fully. But instead of doing nothing, some of the tasks got completed because of making such lists - And thats better than doing nothing. I never pressurize myself.
Totally agree with you.
At times i even start to ask myself is this what im doing is right ? I doubt and question myself but that is needed to shape our journey.
