Weirdest thing patient ever said to you

As healthcare professionals we come across all kinds of patients some sweet, some difficult, and some who leave us speechless with what they say.

I remember once during a routine check-up a patient looked at me very seriously and asked
“Doctor can brushing too hard move my teeth back into place?”
and they were genuinely convinced that strong brushing could reverse misalignment. :sweat_smile:

It was one of those moments where I had to explain things gently while trying not to laugh. It stuck with me because it reminded me how important patient education is…

Not a personal experience but something which my senior at IVF lab came across.
So a patient once asked him that can you look at the sperm in microscope and know whether it will give rise to a male baby or female.

That’s wild! Someone asked if PCOS is from what we eat, 'cause the uterus is near the stomach and food goes there?
