TOPPERS are Failures!

You must have listen somewhere in your life that MOST OF THE TOPPERS are unable to make something in their lives. Toppers are failures!

You know what, even toppers know that. But have you ever think how a life of a topper can be? (Of course, not talking about those who literally feel like a Topper, but for the toppers who know the reality)

Have you ever acknowledge to know the reason behind it that why it is so?

In my opinion, it’s this surrounding, it’s the environment in which they are living in. Trust me, every topper knows that they eventually have to met with some failures in their life and its part of the struggles, its a part of your journey. But you know what, the people around them make them feel like a failure even more. They got their moral down.

The statements like " Tum to pdne me bhot acche the!" - That’s where you have demoralised them. With these, they just don’t have to deal with the real life failures but with this kind of mental stress as well. They don’t get the motivation which eventually other people get in and there.

Please normalise the behaviour with the toppers. Yes, they might be topper of your class, but not in the profession or field in which he or she is. They are also exploring, they also have a lot of things which are unknown to them. Please understand!

I hope I am able to convey my thoughts on this topic honestly!

saying “toppers are failures” overlooks their hard work. While marks don’t define success, toppers often build strong habits. Some may struggle later, but success depends on skills, mindset, and adaptability—not just ranks. Every student has a unique path, and failure or success isn’t set by grades.

Absolutely. Just their should be normalization and no judgement. No matter whether a student is Topper or Backbencher!

Topper, average, above average, Duller, backbencher all these are the badges that we created ourself. knowledge and skills define who we are and what we are becoming.

According to me no one should be called as Failure wheather he /she is a topper or a Backbencher each one of one of us are different . Everyone have a different interest, different financial conditions so we should not judge someone based the marks he /she got in a particular exam .

All these titles are mostly restricted to student life and once that is over, these titles have no value. Definitely, grades and scores carry significant importance in life, but mostly everybody at the end has to go through the same rigorous process to establish themselves in the real professional world, as the struggle is real for everyone. More than anyone saying anything to people who have been toppers, I feel the suffering here is personal. It should never matter to anyone when one knows that being a topper is just a situational thing and life ahead has many struggles. Toppers should have the personality in such a way that, only they know what they are doing and what their struggles are and should not be getting impacted by who says what. We can never stop others from talking or saying, as that’s not under our control, the only thing that we can do is self-regulation (as being topper in the subjects is not the only important thing, learning how to handle yourself as a topper is also another learning that should go on at the outset) and keep moving despite all odds. Either anyone praises or throw tantrums, maintain a calm during all situations and just have that eye on growth in life, as that’s what matters. We do not need a tag to be considered successful. Whole life is a journey of learning and with focus on the right place and a strong drive to move forward, the success will keep coming in without we getting defined and restricted by the word “successful”. Success is never a destination, its a journey.

This is bad to judge someone from past to present not everyone is perfect in life or not everyones life is perfect.

Yes, absolutely! There should not be more burden of non existing expectations on anyone.

This is a very intereting and valid take. I think toppers eventually realize after a while that their persistence and exposure will carry them further than just their academics. They often burn out when they don’t realize this soon enough.

Not every academic topper becomes a life topper. They struggle, fail, and explore like everyone else. Let’s stop defining people by their marks and start showing some empathy.

Yeah. Even if some realised, it’s get difficult for them to act normal under the lot of expectations from the surroundings.!

Yes. That’s the point!

Whoever you are either a topper or backbencher, failure comes in everyone’s life. How you face the failure and raise from it decides your future. The failures are the part of life so we can’t name anyone a failure or a successor.

Failures are key to success. Everyone in this world learn from their failures and keeps trying for the best outcome. We should have a strong mindset and stop listening to others’ opinions.
