"Tomorrow is my exam - And I didn’t study anything."Ever been in this situation?

You are not a student if you didn’t face the situation where you didn’t study anything and your exam is after 2 days or the next day.

I also faced it and still do. Yet somehow I manage to score full marks even though I get stressed and anxious.

After some time i realized that you don’t even have to get stressed because you just have to manage your time and work smart.

These are some techniques which I follow to study any concept in less time :

  • First understand what you are trying to study, use online tools like chatgpt to help you understand what the concept is, and even the points which you are unable to understand.
  • Write, write and write. Writing helps to remember things in easier way.
  • Make short notes. Make codes, short-cuts, funny correlations that only you can understand.
  • Don’t try to read the answer as it is, condense it with short-cuts, codes and abbreviations. Read it in such a way that if u see one word, you should be able to remember the whole point.
  • Key words : Every answer has some key words, side headings and important points, focus on them more. By remembering these you can write the answer in your own words.
  • Make flowcharts, mind mappings, pictures. It helps you to remember the points easily.
  • Try to explain the concept to yourself and revise multiple times so that you don’t forget.
  • Manage your time to cover all the important topics first and study the other topics briefly later.
  • Read the concept->understand->condense [short cuts/codes] ->prepare & remember the key words/points ->write in your own words.

Remember! Your answers don’t have to be Textbook- perfect to score good marks. They just have to be correct.

By following these tips, you can efficiently manage to remember the concept and write the exam well.

Hope this helps!

I usually don’t rely on last-minute preparations. Giving one to two hours daily :stopwatch: works best for me; last-minute preparations only give me panic attacks :worried: , to be honest.

I completely agree with what you said. Instead of trying to cram answers word-for-word :books: , it is best to note down the key points :clipboard: , understand the concept, and move to the next topic.

As medical students :medical_symbol: , we have a vast syllabus to cover. It is nearly impossible to revise the whole book the night before, so it’s best to swear by concise notes.

That’s a good note!

What really helps me in the last stretch is solving MCQs and using active recall—it quickly highlights exactly where I’m lacking and what needs more focus.
