Time management - A powerfull tool for your exam preparations!

One should apply both smart work and hard work but I think smart work slightly overshadowes hardwork.
Time management is most important when starting our exam preparations.
Studying hours and hours and gaining nothing is neither a hard work nor a smart work.
Utilise the energy where it is required the most.
Few time management techniques I would like to explain and which I also followed during my UG are :-

  1. Sort out the no.of subjects and no.of days remaining.
  2. Allot particular no.of days for each subject according to their difficulty levels.
  3. Make a timetable , start with the difficult subject and difficult topics prior.
  4. Use short breaks . Try to revise the learned topic after the break.
  5. Set smaller but clearer goals.

Conclusion :-
• Try and avoid the major distractions like mobile phones , laptops etc.
• Instead in those short breaks, either interact with your family members , your friends or your loved ones .
• Good concentration and appropriate revisions , help you remember better and for longer period .
• For us it seems this revision is taking time and we just ignore it , but here’s the twist , if you don’t revise the topic itself becomes volatile and hence the same topic will consume more time afterwards when you are actually trying to recall it.
• Avoid procastination - Delaying tasks often leads to rushed preparation and poor understanding.

Comment below your techniques of time management and what are some othe extra points one can apply ?

Focusing on smart work is helpful for effective exam preparation. For me active recall based study preparation really helps highlight which areas actually need the most revision.
