For a long time, I saw myself as an average student.
I thought the marks I scored were my best.
I wasn’t careless, I just studied seriously only a night before exams which still managed to get me 80%. I convinced myself that this was my limit.
Then I asked myself something simple:
What if I stayed consistent instead of cramming?
Not more hours. Just a little every day.
That’s when I realised I didn’t need more study tips.
I needed to stop a few habits.
Here’s what I stopped doing:
• Relying on last-minute studying
• Comparing my pace with others
• Assuming everyone else is doing better
• Chasing every new study hack
• Feeling guilty for taking breaks
Medical students don’t always need more advice.
Sometimes, we just need consistency with less pressure.
Studying improved not because I did more, but because I finally showed up every day.
What’s one habit you think you need to stop?
