From our teenage years, we have been told: complete your education, secure a stable career and aim for good earning prospects. While stability can bring material comfort, it doesn’t always bring the absolute joy in living.
There is a hidden wonder of being unsettled which is hardly highlighted. Unsettledness opens doors to self-exploration, personal growth and genuine employment of what we do. It makes us resilient against rigid expectations and societal sayings.
Advices like “You should figure out your life by 30” is overrated. History is full of examples of people who never had it all figured out, yet lived extraordinary lives. It’s unnecessary to be bound by such timelines. Instead, one should :
· Follow passions without age limits.
· Revisit hobbies left behind in childhood or teenage years.
· Stay open to changing careers at any point in life.
This mindset transforms life from merely passing through years into truly living where each day feels as rich as a year.
